Local campaigners David Sant and Vamsi Velagapudi help Bridget Fox sell tasty treats on the Lib Dem stall

Yesterday saw the 23rd annual Angel Canal Festival at the City Road Basin, Islington. The good weather ensured a great turnout as families flocked to the area around the Regent's Canal in droves.

The local Liberal Democrats had a stall with attractions for everyone. Free face painting for the kids proved a massive draw whilst homemade cakes and jams pulled in the mums and dads.

Shadow MP Bridget Fox said:

"The Lib Dem stall was a huge success. All the kids were walking around as tigers and butterflies and the sweet treats made by our hard working local members went down a storm.

"The Angel Canal Festival is an Islington institution; the Festival team do an amazing job every year, and local Liberal Democrats are proud to support them."
