Emily Thornberry's Attendance Record

We recently posted a story on this site in which we reported that Islington Labour MP Ms Thornberry had the 9th worst attendance record in Parliament.  This was based on an article in the Times newspaper of 8 April headed "MPs failing to attend crucial Commons committees".  

The article named Ms Thornberry and featured a column of 10 MPs' pictures under the heading "MPs with low attendance".  Ms Thornberry's picture was in ninth place in this column with the statistic that she had attended 36.1% of the meetings of the Communities and Local Government Select Committee and the comment from her "I attended meetings on housing".  Of course this does not mean that she has the ninth worst record in the the whole of Parliament and we apologise unreservedly to her for any implication that she does.
