5.00.39pm GMT Thu 17th Feb 2005

Cllr Laura Willoughby has written to Transport for London to demand they allow the 141 and 341 buses to stop at an existing bus stop!

A bus stop was created on Green Lanes on a temporary basis for the new 393 bus route. The stop has been so successful for the 393 that frustrated 141 and 341 passengers have asked that there bus be allowed to stop there to rather than just driving past.

Cllr Laura Willoughby, who has taken up the matter with TfL said:

"The additional stop has obviously been a success and we should ensure that all passengers from buses on this route can use it. I look forward to hearing from transport for London when it will be operational."

The bus stop is in Highbury East ward on Green Lanes bordering with Hackney.

It serves residents on the Highbury Quadrant Estate and Highbury New Park.
