Vince Cable talks economics and politics with Islington business representatives

Bridget Fox discusses Islington's economy with Dr Vince Cable MP
Islington South and Finsbury's Shadow MP Bridget Fox welcomed Dr Vince Cable MP to a brunch meeting with local business people at Frederick's bar and restaurant, Camden Passage yesterday.
Dr Cable came to talk about the economy and answer questions posed by representatives from Islington's diverse business sector. He is widely believed to have predicted the credit crunch before anyone else and has published books on the economic situation in the UK.
Dr Cable said:
"I was pleased to come to Islington as I fully support Bridget Fox and the excellent work she does campaigning locally.
It was good to meet so many representatives from Islington's thriving business community and to answer their questions on the local and national economy."
Local businessman Howard Piper said:
"Vince has that rare combination of hands on economic experience and the courage to act wisely in our best interests. Business people and the public have a lot of respect for him and trust his judgement. He would be by far the best choice to run our economy as Chancellor."
Bridget Fox added:
"It was a real pleasure to be speaking to local businesses alongside Vince Cable. He is so widely respected on the economy - it's great to have his backing as the Liberal Democrat choice for Islington South and Finsbury."
