Bridget shows her support for the campaign to phase out greenhouse gases
Liberal Democrat campaigner Bridget Fox has signed up to Greenpeace's latest campaign - literally! Bridget signed her name on her arm to show support for the campaign to get international agreement to phase out HFCs by 2020.
Greenpeace is calling for action on HFCs (Fluorine gases) which are among the 'greenhouse gases' contributing to climate change. These gases are widely used in cooling systems, but less damaging alternatives are already available. And they are inviting supporters to sign up 'in the flesh'.
Bridget says "I'm proud to show my support for Greenpeace's 'Naked Truth' campaign. We are at a critical stage to tackle climate change.
"By proposing the phasing out of HFCs, Greenpeace has come up with one simple proposal that, if adopted, would see at least some good come out of the global climate summit in Copenhagen this month".
