Nick Clegg signs up to Bridget's fairer fuel bills campaign
Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg has signed up to local campaigner Bridget Fox's petition calling for fairer fuel bills.
Bridget launched her petition online just days before freezing weather hit Islington. And Nick Clegg was pleased to back her campaign when he visited the borough on Thursday.
He used his first ever Prime Minister's Questions as party leader to raise the issue, demanding that Gordon Brown "end the scandal of the poorest families paying the most for their energy needs".
Bridget says, "I'm delighted to have Nick Clegg's backing for this campaign. The Labour Government is still failing people on fuel bills. Even as gas and electricity bills begin to fall, the poorest households still pay more for their energy than richer ones: that's unfair."

Joe Trotter is backing Bridget's campaign
Bridget's also got the backing of veteran campaigner and former Mayor of Islington, Joe Trotter.
Joe says, "We need something to be done. Pensioners who've worked hard all their lives are finding it tough. Our gas bills have gone up and the Government does nothing to help most of us. I'm backing Bridget's campaign for fairer fuel bills."
