Islington marches against climate change

The Islington Liberal Democrats were amongst thousands of people who marched to Parliament to campaign against Climate Change on Saturday (6th December) and listened to a speech on Parliament Square by Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg MP.
Greg Foxsmith, a Liberal Democrat councillor in Islington, joined the march. He said:
"The Government have admitted that they are not going to reach environmental targets - and carbon dioxide emissions are higher than when they came to power in 1997.
"That's why thousands of people from Islington and across the country marched on Parliament - to tell the Government that they need to start acting seriously on the environment."
