Bridget blogs for the Guardian
The Liberal Democrat candidate for Islington South & Finsbury, Bridget Fox , has joined the Guardian as one of their regular bloggers. Bridget will contribute a weekly blog commenting on national issues from her local campaigning perspective here in Islington, where she came just 484 votes behind Labour MP Emily Thornberry at the last General Election.
Bridget says, "I grew up with the Guardian, and of course they are based in Farringdon, so it's a great pleasure to be writing for them now. Guardian readers may have a particular image of Islington. I'm looking forward to sharing real experiences from our area and raising issues that matter to local people. Too much political communication is one-way. Websites like The Guardian Unlimited have done a great job in opening up debate to everyone. I hope my blog will be a real two-way experience."
Bridget's first blog covers the rebuilding of the Market Estate, and the fight to save Essex Road Post Office, as well as the Northern Rock affair. Bridget's blog is at http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/politics/authors/bridget_fox/index.html
