Thank you to everyone who voted Liberal Democrat yesterday. Across the country we have taken seats from the Labour and Conservative parties and only missed out here by 484 votes, taking 38.3% of the vote to Labour's 39.9%.

With a majority of 7,280 to overturn there was a massive swing to us of 12.1% which has left Islington South with one of the narrowest Labour majorities in the country - just 1.6% - and the Tories in a distant third place.

I look forward to continuing to work for the people of Islington in the future.
