Half A Million Pound Investment in Leisure Services

Islington Residents are set to benefit from £500,000 additional investment in Leisure by the Liberal Democrat Council.
This year's budget allocates considerable investment in Leisure services as part of the renegotiation of the Leisure contract with Aquaterra. The investment will go towards improving and extending existing facilities such as the long awaited improvements at Ironmonger Row Baths.
Liberal Democrat Councillor Laura Willoughby, Executive Member for Communities said
"This investment is wonderful news for everyone who uses leisure facilities in Islington. We have some of the best and most popular facilities in London and we want to keep it that way by continuing to extend the services they can offer.
"Health and Fitness are becoming increasingly important issues and by providing good facilities that everyone can access we make it easier for residents to lead healthy lives."
