Islington's Liberal Democrat Council has committed £1million to tackling anti-social behaviour in Islington in 2005.
£850,000 of this money will be used by Homes for Islington (HfI) to improve security on estates.
Councillor Jyoti Vaja, Executive member for Housing and Community Safety said
"The Lib Dems have a real commitment to dealing with Anti Social Behaviour in Islington. By supporting the creation of the community police teams, closing crack houses and evicting nuisance neighbours we feel we have made real steps forward.
"Acceptable Behaviour Contracts have continued to work well in Islington a real demonstration of partnership between the Council and Police.
"Our priority for this year is to build on these achievements, continue to crack down on Anti Social Behaviour and improve security on our estates, lighting and issues that are important to our residents."

14 crack houses closed in Islington, the best record of any London Borough. 250 Acceptable behaviour contracts (ABCs), 45 issued last year. 49 Anti-Social Behaviour Orders, 8 issued last year, 4 this year. 4 drivers disqualified from driving for kerb crawling. Eviction of tenants who break ABCs. 100% success rate when seeking legal action.
