A new Library of Life website aims to create a permanent record of modern life by enabling people to record their own biography. Councillor Laura Willoughby is encouraging residents to add their story to the new international web site set up by the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies.
Cllr Laura Willoughby, executive member for communities said:
"People in Islington have the most fantastic stories to tell, and many would have benefited directly from the work of the Red Cross. I hope everyone will take the opportunity to look at the stories of others and add their own. You do not need to be Kylie Minogue to have a life story worth sharing!"
Set up by entrepreneur Stephen Forsyth, the site hopes to record the names and biographical details of as many people as possible, leaving a testament for future historians and biographers to draw upon. The site can be accessed at www.libraryoflife.org and will raise money for the Red Cross.
