Bus drivers - stop using mobile phones!

After reports today showed that those who use a mobile phone whilst driving have reaction times 30% slower compared to being just over the alcohol limit, Cllr Laura Willoughby has once again written to bus companies to clamp down on drivers that use their mobiles whilst driving passengers. She said ìThere have been many occasions on buses in Islington where the drivers have constantly used their phones. Passengers concern about this is obvious and justified. It should not take a report such as this to prompt bus companies to take action that is obvious - however, the evidence is overwhelming and bus operators should clamp down now.î
