Lib Dem Councillor Margot Dunn has got the Council to step in over Thames Waterís failure to provide an adequate water supply to residents of Moulsford House and Pangbourne House. As part of a plan to cut down water leaks, rather than fixing them Thames Water have been reducing the water pressure across London. Since then, tenants and residents in Pangbourne and Moulsford living above the 5th floor have often had no pressure at all. At first this was during the day at peak times but now there is none at the weekends as well. But Thames Water are still charging them! Your local councillors have got Islington Council to step in and install special pumps to boost the pressure. Councillor Margot Dunn said ìThe Councilís action has been a lifeline here - it beggars belief that Thames Water are charging these tenants for their water and not providing it. They are laughing all the way to the bank - and weíre going to fight them.î ìThe Council installing pumps is vital - and weíre very grateful to the residents who are having to put up with all the digging and drilling to get them installed.î
