Anna Berent gets Islington Top Honour

Anna Berent, Chair of the Newington Green Action Team and Liberal Democrat Campaigner in Mildmay has had her work rewarded with the presentation of one of the first ever Civic Awards. Although she has been Chair of the Action team for over four years, she accepted the award on behalf of all colleagues. She said: ìI am very pleased and regard it as an award for all of us involved in Newington Green - it is recognition that we have been working for all these years and things are finally beginning to happen - we hope to see some changes happen on the Green by Autumn.î This is the first ever Civic Awards, Lib Dem Mayor Jo Trotter has introduced them.
