Hospital "race" proves Whittington A&E is the closest option

Your Liberal Democrat Parliamentary campaigners journeyed to the Accident and Emergency departments of the Whittington and Royal Free hospitals this week, to find out just how long it really takes to get there.

Islington's Liberal Democrat council leaders have launched a new million-pound emergency fund to repair roads - after this winter's cold weather, ice, and snow caused a severe deterioration in road surfaces across the borough.

London youth ID cards are 'Big Brother by the back door'

As the Labour Government prepares to roll out ID cards to young people in London, beginning with a voluntary scheme starting on 1 February, Islington's Liberal Democrat councillors have stated that Islington Council will never require a UK National Identity Card to access council services or benefits under the Lib Dems.

150 helped by problem-busting Council leader's supermarket surgeries

Liberal Democrat council leader Terry Stacy visited Islington Farmers Market rounding off a series of advice surgeries that has seen him visit supermarkets, shopping centres, and markets right across the borough. Terry spoke to over 500 people, and has intervened to help around 150 people with their problems.

Highbury looks forward to fields extension

An extra 300 square meters of open green space will be added to Highbury Fields with the demolition of an derelict works depot in the Northwest corner of the park. Council leader Terry Stacy took Highbury resident Julie Horten to the site to review plans for the park extension.
